INTERNATIONAL ACADEMIC NETWORK ON AUTONOMY

ABOUT THE NETWORK

A platform for exchange, dialogue and learning between its members on autonomy.

The International Academic Network on Autonomy (hereafter “The Network”) was established on 3 July 2018 on the occasion of the International Conference on “Models of Territorial Autonomy: Commonalities and Differences” in Dakhla (Morocco).

Its main objective is to serve as a platform for exchange, dialogue and learning between its members on autonomy.

Its activities will include:

  • Maintaining and strengthening the links, contacts and exchanges between its members;

  • Sharing experience from countries and regions that have implemented self-reliance;

  • Organising side events, seminars and meetings around autonomy as a means and mechanism for dispute resolution;

  • Setting up a website dedicated to the theme of models of autonomy in the world that have succeeded in preventing or putting an end to conflicts, or which have been proposed as solutions to current disputes.

The Network will federate academics, researchers and experts who have already contributed to past seminars, and will be open to other academics, researchers and experts in order to continue to study and compare the Moroccan Initiative of Autonomy with other experiences and initiatives of autonomy around the world.
